[The feed clicks on to show a shot of the ceiling in David's cabin before it's picked up, moved and adjusted until you get a good view of a red headed woman, who looks pretty worn out. She's better than she was yesterday, at least, given she spent most of it sleeping off an emergency C-Section, but it's pretty apparent that she's been through some stuff and probably needs a shower. She swallows and lets out a slow breath before saying anything.] My name is Dr. Elizabeth Shaw, and I've been told that I'm here for David. [Which was just. Fucking weird, and there are a lot of things she wants to ask about the ship and the Admiral, but the first one she ends up blurting out is a fairly simple one.] Can anyone tell me what he's doing here? I know what this place is supposed to be for, [Because she's looked around the network a little.] but I don't understand why he'd be brought here. [Because even if David was a very human robot, and was pretty fucking creepy, she doesn't know the full extent of how creepy he is yet, and so she's not sure why he'd be here as an inmate, and definitely not why he'd choose to be a warden. She pauses again, lifting a shaking hand to rub at her forehead slightly.] And if someone could direct me to whatever infirmary you have on board, I would appreciate it.

To protect my secret identity so assholes don't come to my house and kill me.

David's pretty chill about his situation, far as I can tell.

That's how he was programmed to be, to the best of my understanding.

He was assigned to the scientific mission I was heading. I've only known him for a few days. [Although he was apparently WATCHING HER WHILE SHE WAS SLEEPING FOR TWO YEARS God damn David you freak.]

[mistconduct]

Oh. Huh.

So you're like the closest person to him if you're here now.

That's kind of...depressing.

[Wait, what, she did not sign up for this. :|] What do you mean, I'm the closest person to him?

Look around. Everyone who's hit by this flood is getting replaced by people close to them. Mostly, like, boyfriends but I saw a few people who've known the other guy close to a decade or more.

He's known you for like three days and you're here. So that means there wasn't anybody else in his life he felt connected to.

Depressing.

He's only been activated for a little over two and a half years, most of which was spent monitoring a ship while the crew was in cryogenically frozen for the journey.

I don't think he minded.

Just that he works in the library and he wants to do whatever he wants. Which is pretty inspiring when you're required to follow directives all the time. He called it being in control of his future, for the first time.

I guess he must like it here.

Can he like stuff? He seemed pretty ambivalent.
