[The feed clicks on to show a shot of the ceiling in David's cabin before it's picked up, moved and adjusted until you get a good view of a red headed woman, who looks pretty worn out. She's better than she was yesterday, at least, given she spent most of it sleeping off an emergency C-Section, but it's pretty apparent that she's been through some stuff and probably needs a shower. She swallows and lets out a slow breath before saying anything.] My name is Dr. Elizabeth Shaw, and I've been told that I'm here for David. [Which was just. Fucking weird, and there are a lot of things she wants to ask about the ship and the Admiral, but the first one she ends up blurting out is a fairly simple one.] Can anyone tell me what he's doing here? I know what this place is supposed to be for, [Because she's looked around the network a little.] but I don't understand why he'd be brought here. [Because even if David was a very human robot, and was pretty fucking creepy, she doesn't know the full extent of how creepy he is yet, and so she's not sure why he'd be here as an inmate, and definitely not why he'd choose to be a warden. She pauses again, lifting a shaking hand to rub at her forehead slightly.] And if someone could direct me to whatever infirmary you have on board, I would appreciate it.

I don't know. I haven't met any others, but it's not like I know more than a fraction of assholes on this boat.

Has the Admiral made mistakes before? In who he brings here?

Dude, I have no fucking idea what the Admiral does or why he does it. He's a drunk asshole.

My point is that there isn't a straight answer I can give you. But David's all right.

It doesn't sound like he had much choice.

He's a robot. He wasn't exactly designed to just do what he wanted.

Good thing he gets to screw around and figure out what he wants, then. That's..pretty much the only thing I like about the fucking ship so far.

I stuck true to my dad instead of bending over backwards to help a bunch of assholes.

Why's David here?

I don't know. [She's starting to have her suspicions, but. Nothing concrete, and honestly, it seems like Weyland's more to blame than anyone else, now that she knows what he really wanted from this mission.]

Yeah. I mean, if he's here it's either because someone fucked up or he's capable of morality, right? Otherwise, fuck, put his programmers here instead. You can't have an evil chair, is what I'm saying.

[Okay, that gets a small smile out of her, even though GOD DAMN, DAVID, WHAT ARE YOU.] Good point.

I don't even fucking know why this is rubbing me the wrong way, but. Fuck, he's just. I don't know, we don't have robots that real where I'm from.

He's the most recent model Weyland Industries has produced, and he's definitely the most lifelike, but we've had them for a while, now. They just aren't very common as far as public use goes.

[mistconduct]

What's he supposed to do? Like...fly ships and go into war and shit?

[secretasshole]

No. He monitored the ship while we were in cryostasis, learned several ancient languages, and assists as an extra hand in dealing with scientific and medical situations. He's also apparently a decent bartender.
