I'm not lecturing, and I'm not perfect, either. The point of being a warden can't be that you're perfect, because that's frakking stupid and completely false.
It has to be that there's something about you that has the potential to help someone else be better. It figures that once in a while, that potential would fail to follow through. Probably even more often than not.
