[David has been in the infirmary since the door opened. As an inmate - both here and on the other Barge - he hasn't had access to any of the dangerous supplies, but he's done his best to keep things tidy and organized, ready for the (inevitable) flood of people who will be filing in with the injured and the dead.

When the Barge rights itself, he blinks and takes a moment to take stock of the situation before clicking on his communicator.]

The infirmary is open, and back to normal, if anyone is in need of medical attention. The death toll also appears to be functional once more.

Dr. Banner, I would appreciate hearing from you at your earliest convenience.

[And now he clicks on a filter, and is providing you with a view of a cleaned up, clearly alive if unconscious Charles, tucked into a bed in the infirmary.]

I hope you're well.

[ooc: David is available for spam, but since he is not officially on infirmary duty, he doesn't have access to things like painkillers. Still, he will happily(ish...) bring you other things if you ask nicely. c:]

No, I'm-- I'll be up there in just a moment. If everyone's comfortable and nobody's feeding them their fellows, then the infirmary is as good as it can get.

[ He's be there in a few moments, looking both energized and refreshed. Tony trailed him, trotting along and alert due to the change in mood. There were a lot of death tolling people-- an that meant a lot of palliative care. Not exciting or even with much point, considering it would pass no matter what anyone did, but Bruce hated leaving his patients uncomfortable. ]

[It's good to see that he doesn't look like a shell of a human being, because there are a lot of people in pain, here, and David is not the right person - or machine, really, whatever he is - to cater to all their needs.]

The Emperor left me in charge when he departed for door. My counterpart and I have endeavored to make the people here as comfortable as possible in your absences, and I am more than willing to continue doing so if you require extra help.

[Well. Sort of more than willing. He's feeling a lot more charitable than usual.]

But if you're uncomfortable with my being here, [He's an unpaired inmate who has grown increasingly vocal about how he basically assisted some aliens in trying to wipe out humanity, so.] I understand, and am willing to leave as soon as Erik arrives.

[He made a promise that he'd look after Charles for him, and he's not interested in going back on that.]

I'm aware of your history. So long as you attempt no trouble, there'll be no trouble.

[ Because he doesn't know what else to right now. He trusted in Emperor-- and where had that lead? He raked one hand through his hair, and said: ]

[The temptation to make a snide comment like "Do you?" or "I'm sure" is very much there, and there's a moment where he thinks he's going to push on it, because he is so tired of people acting like they understand, when in reality, they're just as stupid and conceited as the rest of them.

But he doesn't. It isn't like him snapping at Banner is going to change his mind about who David is and what he's capable of, so he just follows him and resolves to at least attempt to be patient.]

[ Bruce is emotionally weary but physically energized; his eyes are bright but his look absent -- he means no offense, and is trying to offer David a chance to prove himself, as he did with the Emperor before him. But it comes out badly, and he has no reserves to attempt to be more mindful. ]

[ Instead, he begins to gather things, asking if David knows the basic preparations made when the infirmary has to deal with large influxes of tolling people, and how to make them comfortable. ]

[David follows along, and is an attentive listener, so as long as the doctor understands that he's a well trained medical professional and doesn't need a refresher course on anything other than this infirmary's procedures, it should be pretty smooth sailing.]
