Well, it's like, he's a child android with a child's mindset and all. And he's adopted into this family whose son is in this coma and they go to pick up a new kid to fill this gap in their lives, right? Only the original son comes back and he and David don't get along and then David's mom shoves him out of her car and leaves him in the woods.
